BATTERIES LP AGM

The AGM battery Line offered by LP is produced according to the revolutionary technology "Absorbent Glass Mat" whereby within these lead-acid batteries, the electrolyte is conveyed within of absorbent felt, composed of fine glass fibers.
This material absorbs the battery acid like a sponge, preventing the electrolyte to be in the state "free" when you make it dangerous. The AGM battery is leak-proof and therefore totally "free maintenance", for which "NO NEED FOR MAINTENANCE".

In addition to making the battery safer, the AGM can make the most of limited space and volume of the battery: the acid is immobilized within the structural core of the accumulator, while remaining available for the plates so that the reactions between 'electrolyte and the metallic component of the plates to take place quickly. This allows the battery to boast a greater ability to start.

The range of AGM batteries LP includes 2 Ah to 24 Ah
Since the plates of the batteries with AGM occur particularly compact, their ability to resistance to vibration is much greater than standard batteries. By compacting the acid within a single absorbent core, the self-discharge of this type of batteries is significantly lower than conventional batteries: even, less than 3% per month.
The AGM battery stands out though its traditional equivalent to accompany the electrolyte to insert before use.

Before proceeding with the operation of the charge it necessary to know :

  • The electrolyte must be compatible with the battery
  • When charging acid, your device must be STRICTLY OUTSIDE THE HOUSING , provided in each applications
  • Proceed gently removing the sealing film that covers the safety nuts on the top of the battery.
  • Remove the fuse by sliding it sideways acid: during the operation DO NOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THE SUBSTANCE, NOT TOUCH OR 'DRILL MANUALLY SEALS.
  • After removing the closure device of the container of the electrolyte, proceed WITH EXTREME CAUTION placing caps leaking acid in perfect alignment with the appropriate slots at the top of the battery.
Push the container of electrolyte downwards, with a vertical movement fluid: in this way, the seals of the container corresponding ones on the top of the battery.

WARNING: If the electrolyte container was not in a perfectly vertical position, the acid inside you put directly on the battery, causing dangerous spills of sulfuric acid.

  • During the load operation of the acid inside the device, make sure that occurs the formation of air bubbles in all the cells of the container.
If this does not happen, gently tap the container of the acid, without removing it, to encourage the formation of bubbles and leaking acid.
  • Leave the container in position vertical for about 20 minutes.

Do not under any circumstances exceed the 12 hours of exposure.

  • Make sure the container has been completely emptied by the acid; then proceed with the removal of the same, keeping it perfectly upright as for insertion. Move carefully and smoothly.
  • In case of dripping acid on the battery, remove carefully with a cloth dampened with water and dry the surface.
  • After charging to acid, carefully ensuring all seals closing simultaneously with the plugs supplied with the battery. Fix them in the holes, using gentle pressure.

WARNING: Do not press the plugs seal one by one: to concentrate the pressure at a single point may be off balance and cause the battery acid spills.

  • Make sure that the seals are completely plugged, pressing them several times with a gentle motion from the top down. The seals must be fully closed at the same height of the external structure of the battery.

    HANDLING THE PRODUCT:

  • Please handling CAREFULLY the product
  • When charging, make sure that the electrolyte does not come into contact with any part of your body. In case of direct contact with the body or through clothing, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  • Before throwing the empty container, diluted with water any residual acid in it.

    STORES:

  • The product must be sold for what it looks like: do not alter in any way the original condition of the product.
  • The product can be stored only by retail outlets regularly adhering to the law for the storage of hazardous products. The exercises are not enabled are required to sell the batteries ready for use.

    LOADING ACID :

Follow the rules of conduct described above .

    DANGEROUS CHEMICALS :

    Sulfuric acid 41 %
    Specific gravity 1:32

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN USING AGM BATTERIES ?

To recharge the AGM Landport BATTERIES you must follow the instructions below:

  • if the battery is installed, you must first disconnect the connection cables to prevent any flow of current
  • if the battery is installed, you must store it in a dry and isolated, away from sources of light and at a temperature between 0 ° C and 10 ° C: in doing so, you will reduce the risk of self-discharge of the battery
  • It is recommended to save your battery GEL in full state of charge: Once folded, it can hold a charge for more than 6 months.
  • Before using a battery in use for more than 6 months, it is recommended to carry out the full charge
  • Method of charge: the charge current must be equal to 1/10 of the capacity of the battery being charged; for example, a battery of 12Ah must pay a charge current of 1.2 Ampere.
And 'strongly it recommended the use of the recommended battery chargers.
  • If the charge current exceeds the proportion of 10% of the battery capacity (approximately 15 volts) or if you do not record the flow of current, the battery can not be charged.
  • During the charging process, the electrolysis phenomenon can lead to leakage of gas is highly explosive oxyhydrogen.

IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TURN LIGHTS AND / OR FIRES.
IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO SMOKE in the surrounding environment.
DO NOT CHARGING IN PRESENCE OF SOURCES OF LIGHT AND / OR HEAT.

It is important to know that the battery terminals should not be eliminated, even during the charging process. To check the state of charge of the battery, it is sufficient to use a voltmeter to measure the voltage.
It is recommended not to use the battery for at least 12 hours before recharging.
Beyond 6 months after you stop using the battery, you must make the charge respecting the charging process and the time required by a single specific, essential to the success of the operation and safely.
It is recommended to recharge the device using the constant current specification for each battery.

UNLESS AN EMERGENCY, DO NOT SEEK THE PROCEDURE CHARGE FAST
